Mobile LILA
M-learning or mobile learning refers to the deployment of training programmes on wireless handheld devices, like cell phones and personal digital assistants.

The Mobile LILA, developed with the support of Centre
for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and Department of Official
Language (DOL), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), New Delhi, is an
Intelligent Self-Tutoring Systems for HINDI, especially
designed for non-Hindi speakers who wish to learn Hindi from the
basic to the advanced stage.
The package aims at imparting basic functional
knowledge of Hindi, required to communicate in simple day-to-day
situations, to achieve a sound base of Hindi and its core functional grammar.
The constant interactive participation in the self-learning process is likely to
give the learner an edge in the skill of reading, writing, speaking and
understanding grammar and its effective usage.
Salient Features of LILA :
Speech Facility: The Speech Facility has been provided to facilitate, learning of the correct pronunciation and intonation of the words and sentences. Related words and their meanings along with images have also been provided as part of the Vocabulary Section.
A Hindi-English Dictionary is
available with meanings, a grammatical category and pronunciation for easy
reference.
Cultural Notes have
been incorporated to highlight various aspects of the Indian
Culture.
